Skanda–Mātṛgaṇa-janma: Kumārakāḥ, Kanyāgaṇāḥ, and the Vīrāṣṭaka (स्कन्द-मातृगण-सम्भवः)
स तु गत्वा द्विज: सर्वा शुश्रूषां कृतवांस्तदा । मातापितृभ्यां वृद्धाभ्यां यथान्यायं सुशंसित:,घर जाकर उस ब्राह्मणने अपने माता-पिताकी सब प्रकारकी सेवा-शुश्रूषा की और उन बूढ़े माता-पिताने प्रसन्न होकर उसकी यथायोग्य प्रशंसा की
sa tu gatvā dvijaḥ sarvāṁ śuśrūṣāṁ kṛtavāṁs tadā | mātāpitṛbhyāṁ vृद्धābhyāṁ yathānyāyaṁ suśaṁsitaḥ ||
അതിനുശേഷം ആ ബ്രാഹ്മണൻ വീട്ടിലെത്തി തന്റെ വൃദ്ധ മാതാപിതാക്കൾക്ക് എല്ലാ വിധ സേവാ-ശുശ്രൂഷയും ചെയ്തു. സന്തുഷ്ടരായ ആ വൃദ്ധ മാതാപിതാക്കൾ ന്യായാനുസാരം അവനെ യഥോചിതമായി പ്രശംസിച്ചു.
