आहुकस्य वचो वीर तस्यैव परिचारक: । विषण्ण: सन्नकण्ठेन तन्निबोध युधिछिर
āhukasya vaco vīra tasyaiva paricārakaḥ | viṣaṇṇaḥ sannakaṇṭhena tannibodha yudhiṣṭhira ||
ഹേ വീരാ! ആഹുകന്റെ (ഉഗ്രസേനന്റെ) അതേ പരിചാരകൻ വിഷണ്ണനായി, ഇടറുന്ന കണ്ഠത്തോടെ സംസാരിച്ചു. ഹേ യുധിഷ്ഠിരാ! ആ വാക്കുകൾ ശ്രദ്ധയോടെ കേൾക്കുക।
वायुदेव उवाच
Even distressing truth must be conveyed faithfully, and a dharmic ruler should receive grave news with composure, attentive listening, and readiness to act rightly.
