mārkaṇḍeya uvāca | sa tu vipramatho vāca dharmavyādho yudhiṣṭhira | yad aham ācare karma ghoram etad asaṁśayam |
മാർക്കണ്ഡേയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—യുധിഷ്ഠിരാ! തുടർന്ന് ധർമ്മവ്യാധൻ വിപ്രമഥ ബ്രാഹ്മണനോട് പറഞ്ഞു—‘ഞാൻ ചെയ്യുന്ന മാംസവിൽപ്പന എന്ന തൊഴിൽ നിസ്സംശയം അത്യന്തം ഘോരമായ കര്മമാണ്; ഇതിൽ സംശയമില്ല.’
