व्यवहाररता वैश्या भविष्यन्ति कृते युगे । षट्कर्मनिरता वित्रा: क्षत्रिया विक्रमे रता:
vyavahāraratā vaiśyā bhaviṣyanti kṛte yuge | ṣaṭkarmaniratā viprāḥ kṣatriyā vikrame ratāḥ ||
മാർക്കണ്ഡേയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—കൃതയുഗത്തിൽ വൈശ്യർ നീതിയുള്ള ഇടപാടുകളിലും ക്രമബദ്ധമായ വ്യാപാരത്തിലും ലീനരായിരിക്കും; ബ്രാഹ്മണർ ഷട്കർമ്മങ്ങളിൽ തത്പരരായിരിക്കും; ക്ഷത്രിയർ പരാക്രമത്തിലും വീരോദ്യമത്തിലും ആസ്വദിക്കും।
