कृतयुगवर्णनम् तथा राजधर्मोपदेशः

निर्गतो5हमकामस्तु इच्छया ते महाप्रभो । इच्छामि पुण्डरीकाक्ष ज्ञातुं त्वाहमनिन्दितम्,“महाप्रभो! मैं अपनी अभिलाषा न रहनेपर भी केवल आपकी इच्छासे बाहर निकल आया हूँ। कमलनयन! आप सर्वोत्कृष्ट देवताको मैं जानना चाहता हूँ
nirgato ’ham akāmas tu icchayā te mahāprabho | icchāmi puṇḍarīkākṣa jñātuṁ tvāham aninditam ||
വൈശംപായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു— “മഹാപ്രഭോ! എനിക്ക് സ്വന്തമായി ആഗ്രഹമൊന്നുമില്ലായിരുന്നിട്ടും, അങ്ങയുടെ ഇച്ഛയാൽ മാത്രം ഞാൻ പുറത്തുവന്നു. പുണ്ഡരീകാക്ഷാ! ദേവന്മാരിൽ അനിന്ദ്യനും ശ്രേഷ്ഠനും ആയ അങ്ങയെ ഞാൻ അറിയാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു.”
