नाभिशड्क््यमिदं चापि वचन मे त्वया विभो । एवं करिष्य इति तं स मत्स्यं प्रत्यभाषत,'प्रभो! आप मेरी इस बातमें तनिक भी संदेह न करें।” तब राजाने उस मत्स्यसे कहा --“बहुत अच्छा! मैं ऐसा ही करूँगा”
nābhiśaṅkyaṁ idaṁ cāpi vacanaṁ me tvayā vibho | evaṁ kariṣye iti taṁ sa matsyaṁ pratyabhāṣata ||
“പ്രഭോ! എന്റെ വാക്കിൽ അല്പവും സംശയിക്കരുത്; ഞാൻ അങ്ങനെ തന്നെയാകും ചെയ്യുക,” എന്ന് അവൻ ആ മത്സ്യത്തോട് പറഞ്ഞു. അപ്പോൾ രാജാവ് ആ മത്സ്യത്തോട് മറുപടി പറഞ്ഞു—“സാധു; അങ്ങനെ തന്നെയാകും ഞാൻ ചെയ്യുക.”
