उद्धृत्यालिज्जरात् तस्मात् ततः स भगवान् मनुः । त॑ मत्स्यमनयद् वापीं महतीं स मनुस्तदा,तब वे भगवान् मनु उस मत्स्यको उस मटकेसे निकालकर एक बहुत बड़ी बावलीके पास ले गये
uddhṛtyāliñjarāt tasmāt tataḥ sa bhagavān manuḥ | taṁ matsyam anayad vāpīṁ mahatīṁ sa manus tadā ||
അപ്പോൾ ഭഗവാൻ മനു ആ കുടത്തിൽ നിന്ന് ആ മത്സ്യത്തെ എടുത്തുയർത്തി, അതിവിശാലമായ ഒരു കുളത്തിലേക്ക് കൊണ്ടുപോയി।
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
Dharma here is expressed as compassionate stewardship: when one has accepted responsibility for a vulnerable being, one must adjust one’s care as circumstances change, providing an appropriate and safe environment.
Manu removes the fish from a jar that has become too small and transfers it to a much larger pond, continuing to protect and accommodate its growth.
