ततः शिलां समुत्क्षिप्प भीमस्य युधि तिष्ठत: । प्राहिणोद् राक्षस: क्रुद्धो भीमश्ष न चचाल ह,तदनन्तर राक्षसने कुपित हो एक पत्थरकी चट्टान लेकर युद्धमें खड़े हुए भीमसेनपर चलायी। भीम उसके प्रहारसे जडवत् हो गये
tataḥ śilāṃ samutkṣipya bhīmasya yudhi tiṣṭhataḥ | prāhiṇod rākṣasaḥ kruddho bhīmaś ca na cacāla ha ||
അപ്പോൾ ക്രോധിതനായ രാക്ഷസൻ ഒരു ശിലാഫലകം ഉയർത്തി യുദ്ധത്തിൽ അചഞ്ചലമായി നിന്ന ഭീമന്റെ നേരെ എറിഞ്ഞു; എങ്കിലും ഭീമൻ കുലുങ്ങിയില്ല—ഭയങ്കര പ്രഹാരത്തിലും അചലനായി നിന്നു।
