मातले कश्िदत्रापि रुचिरस्ते वरो भवेत् । अथवान्यां दिशं भूमेर्गच्छाव यदि मन्यसे,मातले! यहाँ भी तुम्हें कोई सुन्दर वर प्राप्त हो सकता है अथवा तुम्हारी राय हो, तो इस भूमिकी किसी दूसरी दिशाकी ओर चलें
mātale kaścid atrāpi ruciras te varo bhavet | athavānyāṃ diśaṃ bhūmer gacchāva yadi manyase, mātale ||
നാരദൻ പറഞ്ഞു—മാതലി! ഇവിടെ പോലും നിനക്ക് മനോഹരമായൊരു വരം ലഭിക്കാം; അല്ലെങ്കിൽ നിനക്ക് ഉചിതമെന്നു തോന്നിയാൽ, ഈ ഭൂമിയുടെ മറ്റൊരു ദിശയിലേക്കു പോകാം.
