सपुत्रे त्वयि वृत्तिं च वर्तते यां नराधिप । दाहितश्च निरस्तश्न त्वामेवोपाश्रित: पुन:,नरेश्वरर आप जानते हैं कि अजातशत्रु युधिष्ठिर सदा सत्पुरुषोंके धर्मपर स्थित हैं। उनका पुत्रोंसहित आपके प्रति जो बर्ताव है, उससे भी आप अपरिचित नहीं हैं। आपलोगोंने उन्हें लाक्षागृहूकी आगमें जलवाया तथा राज्य और देशसे निकाल दिया; तो भी वे पुनः आपकी ही शरणमें आये हैं

vaiśampāyana uvāca | saputre tvayi vṛttiṃ ca vartate yāṃ narādhipa | dāhitaś ca nirastaś ca tvām evopāśritaḥ punaḥ ||

വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—രാജാവേ! പുത്രന്മാരോടുകൂടി അജാതശത്രു യുധിഷ്ഠിരൻ എപ്പോഴും നിങ്ങളോടു കാണിച്ച പെരുമാറ്റം നിങ്ങൾക്കറിയാത്തതല്ല. ലാക്ഷാഗൃഹത്തിൽ ദഹിപ്പിക്കപ്പെടുകയും രാജ്യവും ദേശവും വിട്ടു പുറത്താക്കപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്തിട്ടും, അവൻ വീണ്ടും നിങ്ങളെയേ ഏകശരണമായി ആശ്രയിച്ചു വന്നു.
