विदुरस्य कृष्णं प्रति शमोपदेशः

Vidura’s Counsel to Krishna on the Limits of Peace

वैरं नो नास्ति भवता गोविन्द न च विग्रह: । स भवान्‌ प्रसमीक्ष्यैतन्नेदृशं वक्तुमहीति,“गोविन्द! आपके साथ हमलोगोंका न तो कोई वैर है और न झगड़ा ही है। इन सब बातोंका विचार करके आपको ऐसी बात नहीं कहनी चाहिये”

vairaṃ no nāsti bhavatā govinda na ca vigrahaḥ | sa bhavān prasmīkṣyaitann edṛśaṃ vaktum arhati ||

“ഹേ ഗോവിന്ദ! നിങ്ങളോടു ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് വൈരമില്ല, കലഹവും ഇല്ല. ഇതെല്ലാം നന്നായി ആലോചിച്ച് നിങ്ങൾ ഇത്തരമൊരു വാക്ക് പറയുന്നത് യുക്തമല്ല.”
