न च वित्तेन शक््यो5सौ नोटद्यमेन न गर्हया । अन्यो धनंजयात् कर्तुमेतत् तत्त्वं ब्रवीमि ते
na ca vittena śakyo ’sau notdyamena na garhayā | anyo dhanañjayāt kartum etat tattvaṃ bravīmi te ||
വിദുരൻ പറഞ്ഞു—അവനെ ധനത്താൽ ജയിക്കാനാവില്ല; പരിശ്രമത്താലും അല്ല; നിന്ദയാലും അല്ല. ധനഞ്ജയൻ (അർജുനൻ) നിന്നു അവനെ ആരും വേർപെടുത്താൻ കഴിയില്ല—ഇതാണ് ഞാൻ നിനക്കു പറയുന്ന സത്യം.
