Preparations to Honor Keśava at the Kuru Court

Educational Q&A

The verse highlights how extraordinary, unsettling signs can arise when collective adharma ripens toward conflict; rulers are implicitly urged to read such portents as warnings and to restrain violence through dharmic counsel before catastrophe becomes inevitable.

As the Udyoga Parva builds toward war, a loud tumult is heard and a human-like figure is seen in the sky; this uncanny phenomenon is reported as appearing across all regions, functioning as a widespread omen of impending upheaval.
