निरमर्षेष्वचेष्टेषु प्रेक्षमाणेषु पाण्डुषु । पाहि मामिति गोविन्द मनसा चिन्तितो5सि मे,पाण्डव यह सब कुछ देख रहे थे, तो भी न तो इनका क्रोध ही जागा और न इन्होंने मुझे उनके हाथसे छुड़ानेकी चेष्टा ही की। उस समय मैंने (अत्यन्त असहाय होकर) मन-ही- मन आपका चिन्तन किया और कहा--'गोविन्द! मेरी रक्षा कीजिये” (प्रभो! तब आपने ही कृपा करके मेरी लाज बचायी)

niramārṣeṣv aceṣṭeṣu prekṣamāṇeṣu pāṇḍuṣu | pāhi mām iti govinda manasā cintito 'si me ||

പാണ്ഡവർ വെറും നോക്കി നിന്നു—കോപമില്ല, വിടുവിക്കാൻ ശ്രമമില്ല; അപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ പരമനിസ്സഹായയായി മനസ്സിൽ നിങ്ങളെ സ്മരിച്ചു, ‘ഗോവിന്ദാ, എന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കേണമേ’ എന്നു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു।
