Reconciling Contingency and Human Effort
अतिवादापविद्धस्तु वक्ष्यामि बलमात्मन: । यद्यपि स्वयं अपनी प्रशंसा करना सर्वथा नीच पुरुषोंका ही कार्य है
ativādāpaviddhas tu vakṣyāmi balam ātmanaḥ |
ഭീമസേനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—നിന്റെ അതിവാദവും അപമാനകരമായ വാക്കുകളും എന്നെ വേദനിപ്പിച്ചതിനാൽ ഇനി ഞാൻ എന്റെ ബലം പറയാം. സ്വയം പ്രശംസിക്കുന്നത് നീചരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തിയെന്നു കരുതപ്പെടുന്നുവെങ്കിലും, എന്റെ മാനത്തിന് വിരുദ്ധമായി നീ പറഞ്ഞത് എന്നെ മുറിപ്പെടുത്തി; അതിനാൽ ആ അവഹേളനത്താൽ നിർബന്ധിതനായി ഞാൻ എന്റെ ശക്തി പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കുന്നു.
