तस्य शकक्‍्त्योपगूढस्य कस्माज्जीवेद्‌ धनंजय: । विजयो मे ध्रुवं राजन्‌ फलं पाणाविवाहितम्‌,इस प्रकार उस अमोघ शक्तिसे सुरक्षित कर्णके सामने युद्धके लिये आकर अर्जुन कैसे जीवित रह सकते हैं? राजन! हाथपर रखे हुए फलकी भाँति विजयकी प्राप्ति तो मुझे अवश्य ही होगी

Translation

ദുര്യോധനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ആ അമോഘ ശക്ത്യാസ്ത്രം കൊണ്ട് സംരക്ഷിതനായ കർണന്റെ മുന്നിൽ യുദ്ധത്തിനായി വന്നാൽ ധനഞ്ജയനായ അർജുനൻ എങ്ങനെ ജീവനോടെ ഇരിക്കും? ഹേ രാജാവേ! കൈപ്പത്തിയിൽ വെച്ച ഫലംപോലെ വിജയം എനിക്ക് തീർച്ചയാണ്.
