कथं तस्य रणे वेग॑ मानुष: प्रसहिष्यति । जिसने पूर्वकालमें भयंकर बलशाली यक्षों तथा राक्षसोंका वध किया है, युद्धमें उसका वेग कोई मनुष्य कैसे सह सकेगा?

Transliteration

kathaṁ tasya raṇe vegaṁ mānuṣaḥ prasahiṣyati |

Translation

ധൃതരാഷ്ട്രൻ പറഞ്ഞു—യുദ്ധത്തിൽ അവന്റെ ആ പ്രചണ്ഡവേഗം ഒരു മനുഷ്യൻ എങ്ങനെ സഹിക്കും? മുൻകാലത്ത് ഭയങ്കരബലമുള്ള യക്ഷന്മാരെയും രാക്ഷസന്മാരെയും വധിച്ചവൻ അവൻ; അങ്ങനെ ഉള്ളവന്റെ യുദ്ധവേഗം മനുഷ്യരിൽ ആര് സഹിക്കും?
