यदा रथं॑ हेममणिप्रकाशं श्वेताश्वयुक्ते वानरकेतुमुग्रम् । द्रष्टा ममाप्यास्थितं केशवेन तदा तप्स्यत्यकृतात्मा स मन्द:
sañjaya uvāca | yadā rathaṁ hemamaṇiprakāśaṁ śvetāśvayukte vānaraketumugram | draṣṭā mamāpyāsthitaṁ keśavena tadā tapsyatyakṛtātmā sa mandaḥ ||
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേമമണികളുടെ പ്രകാശത്തിൽ ദീപ്തമായ, നാലു ശ്വേതാശ്വങ്ങളാൽ യുക്തമായ, വാനരകേതു ധ്വജം ധരിച്ച എന്റെ ആ ഉഗ്രരഥം—അതിൽ കേശവൻ തന്നേ സാരഥിയായി അധിഷ്ഠിതനായിരിക്കെ—അകൃതാത്മാവായ മന്ദബുദ്ധി ദുര്യോധനൻ കാണുമ്പോൾ, അവൻ ഉള്ളിൽ ഉള്ളിൽ കത്തിത്തീരും।
