उद्योगपर्व — अध्याय 33: धृतराष्ट्र-विदुर संवादः (विदुरनीतिः)
गतिरात्मवतां सन्त: सन््त एव सतां गति: । असतां च गति: सन््तो न त्वसन्त: सतां गति:,मनस्वी पुरुषोंको सहारा देनेवाले संत हैं; संतोंके भी सहारे संत ही हैं, दुष्टोंकी भी सहारा देनेवाले संत हैं, पर दुष्टलोग संतोंको सहारा नहीं देते
gatir ātmavatāṃ santaḥ santa eva satāṃ gatiḥ | asatāṃ ca gatiḥ santo na tv asantaḥ satāṃ gatiḥ ||
ആത്മനിയന്ത്രണമുള്ളവരുടെ ആശ്രയം സജ്ജന്മാർ; സജ്ജന്മാർക്കും ആശ്രയം സജ്ജന്മാരേ. ദുഷ്ടർക്കും ആശ്രയമാകുന്നത് സജ്ജന്മാരാണ്; എന്നാൽ ദുഷ്ടർ സജ്ജന്മാർക്ക് ആശ്രയമാകുന്നില്ല।
