उद्योगपर्व — अध्याय 33: धृतराष्ट्र-विदुर संवादः (विदुरनीतिः)
कांश्रचिदर्थान् नर: प्राज्ञो लघुमूलान् महाफलान् । क्षिप्रमारभते कर्तु न विध्नयति तादृशान्,जिनका मूल (साधन) छोटा और फल महान हो, बुद्धिमान् पुरुष उनको शीघ्र ही आरम्भ कर देता है; वैसे कामोंमें वह विघ्न नहीं आने देता
kāṁścid arthān naraḥ prājño laghu-mūlān mahā-phalān | kṣipram ārabhate kartuṁ na vidhnyati tādṛśān ||
സാധനം ചെറുതും ഫലം മഹത്തുമായ കാര്യങ്ങൾ ജ്ഞാനി വേഗത്തിൽ ആരംഭിക്കുന്നു; അത്തരം ശ്രമങ്ങൾക്ക് തടസ്സം വരാൻ അനുവദിക്കുകയുമില്ല.
