क्षत्रदेवब्रह्म॒देवी रथस्थौ पुरुषर्षभौ । जघनं पालयन्तौ च पृष्ठतो<नुप्रजग्मतु:,क्षत्रदेव और ब्रह्मदेव ये दोनों पुरुषरत्न रथपर बैठकर सेनाके पिछले भागकी रक्षा करते हुए पीछे-पीछे जा रहे थे

kṣatradeva-brahmadevī rathasthau puruṣarṣabhau | jaghanaṁ pālayantau ca pṛṣṭhato 'nuprajagmatuḥ ||

ക്ഷത്രദേവനും ബ്രഹ്മദേവിയും—ഈ രണ്ടു പുരുഷശ്രേഷ്ഠർ—രഥത്തിൽ ഇരുന്ന് സൈന്യത്തിന്റെ പിന്നാമ്പുറം കാത്തുകൊണ്ട് പിന്നിൽ പിന്തുടർന്ന് നീങ്ങി।
