Bhīṣma’s Recollection of the Duel: Charioteer’s Fall, Brahmin Protection, and Portents after Rāma’s Collapse
अथास्रमस्रवद् घोरं गिरेगैरिकधातुवत् । रामेण सुमहाबाहो क्षतस्य छतजेक्षण
athāsramasravad ghoraṁ gire gairikadhātuvat | rāmeṇa sumahābāho kṣatasya chatajīkṣaṇa ||
അപ്പോൾ, കുടയുടെ ചുവപ്പുനിറംപോലെ ചുവന്ന കണ്ണുകളുള്ള മഹാബാഹു ദുര്യോധനാ! രാമൻ (പരശുരാമൻ) നൽകിയ ആ ആഴമുള്ള പ്രഹാരത്തിൽ നിന്നു ഭയങ്കരമായ രക്തധാര പൊട്ടിപ്പുറപ്പെട്ടു—പർവതത്തിൽ നിന്ന് ഗൈരികധാതുവാൽ ചുവപ്പിച്ച വെള്ളം ഒഴുകുന്ന ഉറവുപോലെ.
