अथावताप्य पृथिवीं पूषा दिवससंक्षये । जगामास्तं सहस्रांशुस्ततो युद्धमुपारमत्,भारत! उसके बादसे मैंने परशुरामजीपर फिर प्रहार नहीं किया। इधर सहस्र किरणोंवाले भगवान् सूर्य इस पृथ्वीको तपाकर दिनका अन्त होनेपर अस्त हो गये; इसलिये वह युद्ध बंद हो गया
athāvatāpya pṛthivīṃ pūṣā divasa-saṃkṣaye | jagāmāstaṃ sahasrāṃśus tato yuddham upāramat |
പിന്നീട് ഭൂമിയെ തപിപ്പിച്ച് സഹസ്രകിരണനായ പൂഷൻ (സൂര്യൻ) ദിനാന്തത്തിൽ അസ്തമിച്ചു; അതുകൊണ്ട് യുദ്ധം അവസാനിച്ചു.
