एवमुक्क्त्वा ततो राम: सह तैब्रह्म॒वादिभि: | प्रयाणाय मतिं कृत्वा समुत्तस्थौ महातपा:,ऐसा कहकर महातपस्वी परशुरामजी उन ब्रह्मवादी महर्षियोंके साथ प्रस्थान करनेका निश्चय करके उसके लिये उद्यत हो गये
evam uktvā tato rāmaḥ saha taiḥ brahmavādibhiḥ | prayāṇāya matiṁ kṛtvā samuttiṣṭhau mahātapāḥ ||
ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞ ശേഷം മഹാതപസ്വിയായ രാമൻ (പരശുരാമൻ) ആ ബ്രഹ്മവാദി മഹർഷിമാരോടൊപ്പം യാത്രയ്ക്ക് മനസ്സുറപ്പിച്ച് എഴുന്നേറ്റു.
राम उवाच
The verse highlights disciplined resolve: after speaking, the ascetic forms a clear intention (matiṁ kṛtvā) and acts without hesitation, in the company of truth-upholding sages—suggesting that decisive action is best grounded in dharma and wise counsel.
Paraśurāma, having finished his statement, decides to depart. Accompanied by brahmavādin sages, he prepares for the journey and rises to set out.
