गाण्डीवं च धर्नुर्दिव्यं ते चाश्वा वातरंहस: । अभेद्यं कवचं दिव्यमक्षय्यौ च महेषुधी
gāṇḍīvaṃ ca dhanuḥ divyaṃ te cāśvā vātarāṃhasaḥ | abhedyaṃ kavacaṃ divyam akṣayyau ca maheṣudhī ||
ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—നിനക്കുണ്ട് ദിവ്യമായ ഗാണ്ഡീവ ധനുസ്സ്; നിന്റെ അശ്വങ്ങൾ കാറ്റുപോലെ വേഗമുള്ളവ. നിന്റെ ദിവ്യ കവചം അഭേദ്യം; അക്ഷയ അമ്പുകളാൽ നിറഞ്ഞ രണ്ടു മഹാ തൂണികളും കൂടെയുണ്ട്.
