भीष्मस्य सेनापत्यप्रतिज्ञा तथा रथसंख्यावर्णनम् | Bhishma Accepts Command and Enumerates Kaurava Strength

भावस्ते विदितो<स्माभिरद्दुर्बुद्धे कुलपांसन । न हनिष्यन्ति गाड़ेयं पाण्डवा घृणयेति हि,“खोटी बुद्धिवाले कुलांगार! तेरा मनोभाव हमने समझ लिया है। तू जानता है कि पाण्डवलोग दयावश गंगानन्दन भीष्मका वध नहीं करेंगे

bhāvas te vidito ’smābhir ad-durbuddhe kulapāṃsana | na haniṣyanti gāṅgeyaṃ pāṇḍavā ghṛṇayeti hi ||

ദുർബുദ്ധിയേ, കുലപാംസനേ! നിന്റെ മനോഭാവം ഞങ്ങൾക്കറിയാം; കരുണകൊണ്ട് പാണ്ഡവർ ഗംഗാനന്ദനനായ ഭീഷ്മനെ വധിക്കുകയില്ല എന്നതിലാണ് നീ ആശ്രയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്.
