Adhyāya 160: Arjuna’s Envoy-Message—Critique of Borrowed Valor and Pre-dawn Mobilization
अभिश्ञो दूतवाक्यानां यथोक्तं ब्रुवतो मम । दुर्योधनसमादेशं श्रुत्वा न क्रोद्धुमहसि,“राजन! आप दूतके वचनोंका मर्म जाननेवाले हैं। दुर्योधनने जो संदेश दिया है, उसे मैं ज्यों-का-त्यों दोहरा दूँगा। उसे सुनकर आपको मुझपर क्रोध नहीं करना चाहिये”
sañjaya uvāca | abhiśño dūtavākyānāṃ yathoktaṃ bruvato mama | duryodhanasamādeśaṃ śrutvā na kroddhum arhasi |
“രാജാവേ! ദൂതവാക്യങ്ങളുടെ മർമ്മം നിങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നവനാണ്. ദുര്യോധനന്റെ സന്ദേശം പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ തന്നേ ഞാൻ ആവർത്തിക്കും. അത് കേട്ട് എന്നോടു കോപിക്കരുത്.”
