संजय उवाच
The verse urges a kṣatriya to manifest courage and competence: anger and strength must be harnessed with disciplined understanding (jñāna-yoga) and skilled weaponry, so that action in war becomes a conscious fulfillment of duty rather than mere impulse.
Sañjaya reports an exhortation addressed to Pārtha (Arjuna), calling him to enter battle and display his known qualities—valor, power, strategic insight, and martial dexterity—so that his manliness and warrior-duty are publicly affirmed.
