Ulūka’s Provocation and Keśava’s Counter-Message (उलूकदूत्ये केशवप्रत्युत्तरम्)
अद्येदानीं विजानीम: सन्ति षण्ढा: सशृज्भका: । “श्रीकृष्ण! मैं देखता हूँ संसारमें अकस्मात् ही तुम्हारा महान् यश फैल गया है; परंतु अब इस समय हमें मालूम हुआ है कि जो लोग तुम्हारे पूजक हैं, वे वास्तवमें पुरुषत्वका चिह्न धारण करनेवाले हिजड़े ही हैं
adyedānīṃ vijānīmaḥ santi ṣaṇḍhāḥ saśṛjbhakāḥ |
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു— ഇന്ന് ഇപ്പോഴാണ് ഞങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നത്: പുരുഷത്വത്തിന്റെ ചിഹ്നം മാത്രം ധരിച്ച നപുംസകരും ഉണ്ടെന്ന്. ഹേ ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണാ! നിന്റെ മഹായശസ് അപ്രതീക്ഷിതമായി ലോകമൊട്ടാകെ പരന്നതായി ഞാൻ കാണുന്നു; എന്നാൽ ഇപ്പോൾ ഞങ്ങൾക്കറിയാം— നിന്റെ ഭക്തരെന്ന് പറയുന്നവർ യഥാർത്ഥത്തിൽ പുരുഷചിഹ്നധാരികളായ നപുംസകരേയാണ്.
