न चातिष्ठत्‌ पितुः शास्त्रे बलदर्पविमोहित:ः । अवमेने च पितरं 40 क्षाप्पपराजित:,“बलके घमंडसे वे मोहित हो रहे थे कि पिताके आदेशपर चलते ही नहीं थे। किसीसे पराजित न होनेवाले यदु अपने भाइयों और पिताका भी अपमान करते थे

na cātiṣṭhat pituḥ śāstre baladarpavimohitaḥ | avamene ca pitaraṃ kṣāpraparājitaḥ ||

സ്വബലത്തിന്റെ ദർപ്പത്തിൽ മോഹിതനായി അവൻ പിതാവിന്റെ ആജ്ഞയിൽ നിലകൊള്ളുകയില്ലായിരുന്നു. മറ്റാരാലും ജയിക്കപ്പെടാത്തവൻ തന്നെയായിരുന്നു, സ്വന്തം പിതാവിനെയും അവഹേളിച്ചത്.
