भीष्मस्य दुर्योधनं प्रति कुलहितोपदेशः | Bhīṣma’s Counsel to Duryodhana on Dynastic Welfare
कृतार्था: सुभृता ये लक व वस्थिता कृत्यकाले हाुपस्थिते । अनवेक्ष्य कृतं पापा न्त्यनवस्थिता:
kṛtārthāḥ subhṛtā ye lakṣaṇavāsthitā kṛtyakāle hy upasthite | anavekṣya kṛtaṃ pāpā nty anavasthitāḥ ||
കൃതാർത്ഥരും നന്നായി പോഷിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരുമായവർ, കർത്തവ്യകാലം വന്നെത്തുമ്പോഴും സദാചാരത്തിൽ ഉറച്ചു നിൽക്കും; അവർ കുലുങ്ങുകയില്ല. എന്നാൽ പാപികളും അസ്ഥിരചിത്തരുമായവർ മുൻകൃത ഉപകാരവും ധർമ്മവും നോക്കാതെ അഹങ്കാരമായ ധൃതിയിൽ പതിക്കുന്നു.
