Educational Q&A

Elders who embody tradition and martial authority must not remain passive when a ruler-in-waiting violates rightful governance; ethical counsel and restraint are duties that protect dharma and prevent reckless escalation toward war.

After Kuntī’s message is heard, Bhīṣma and Droṇa turn to Duryodhana and begin admonishing him for overstepping proper authority, setting up a moral confrontation within the Kaurava court just before the conflict hardens into war.
