उद्योगपर्व — अध्याय १३५: कुन्त्याः कृष्णं प्रति संदेशः
Kuntī’s Message to Kṛṣṇa
मैं तेरे प्रभाव, पुरुषार्थ और बुद्धि-बलको जानना चाहती थी, अतः तुझे आश्वासन देते हुए तेरे तेज (उत्साह)-की वृद्धिके लिये मैंने उपर्युक्त बातें कही है ।।
yad etat saṁvijānāsi yadi samyag bravīmy aham | kṛtvā saumyām ivātmānaṁ jayāyottiṣṭha sañjaya ||
സഞ്ജയാ! ഞാൻ പറയുന്നതു നീ യഥാർത്ഥത്തിൽ ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ, ഞാൻ ശരിയായതുതന്നെ പറയുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ, മനസ്സിനെ സൗമ്യവും സ്ഥിരവുമാക്കി വിജയത്തിനായി എഴുന്നേൽക്കുക. നിന്നെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കാനും നിന്റെ ഉത്സാഹം വർധിപ്പിക്കാനും വേണ്ടിയാണ് ഞാൻ ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞത്.
