मुचुकुन्दस्ततो राजा सोडन्वशासद् वसुन्धराम् | बाहुवीर्यार्जितां सम्यक् क्षत्रधर्ममनुव्रत:,तदनन्तर क्षत्रियधर्ममें तत्पर रहनेवाले राजा मुचुकुन्दने अपने बाहुबलसे प्राप्त की हुई इस पृथ्वीका न्यायपूर्वक शासन किया
Mucukundas tato rājā so 'nv aśāsad vasundharām | bāhuvīryārjitāṁ samyak kṣatradharmam anuvrataḥ ||
അതിനുശേഷം ക്ഷത്രധർമ്മത്തിൽ അചഞ്ചലനായ രാജാവ് മുചുകുന്ദൻ, തന്റെ ബാഹുബലവും വീര്യവും കൊണ്ട് നേടിയ ഈ ഭൂമിയെ നീതിപൂർവ്വം ഭരിച്ചു.
