धृतराष्ट्र महाबाहुमब्रवीत् कुरुसंसदि । राजन् परीतकालास्ते पुत्रा: सर्वे परंतप
dhṛtarāṣṭraṃ mahābāhum abravīt kurusaṃsadi | rājan parītakālāste putrāḥ sarve paraṃtapa ||
കുരുസഭയിൽ അദ്ദേഹം മഹാബാഹുവായ ധൃതരാഷ്ട്രനോട് പറഞ്ഞു—“രാജാവേ, കാലം നിനക്കു പ്രതികൂലമായി തിരിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; പരന്തപ, നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ എല്ലാവരും അവരുടെ നിശ്ചിത അന്ത്യത്തിന്റെ വക്കിൽ നിൽക്കുന്നു।”
