Udyoga Parva — Gandhārī’s Counsel to Duryodhana
तान् बद्ध्वा धर्मपाशैश्न स्वैश्व पाशैर्जलेश्वर: । वरुण: सागरे यत्तो नित्यं रक्षति दानवान्
tān baddhvā dharmapāśaiś ca svaiś ca pāśair jaleśvaraḥ | varuṇaḥ sāgare yatto nityaṃ rakṣati dānavān ||
അതിനുശേഷം ജലാധിപനായ വരുണൻ അവരെ ധർമ്മപാശങ്ങളാലും തന്റെ വരുണപാശങ്ങളാലും ബന്ധിച്ച്, നിത്യവും ജാഗ്രതയോടെ, ആ ദാനവന്മാരെ സമുദ്രപരിധിക്കുള്ളിൽ തന്നെ തടഞ്ഞുവെക്കുന്നു.
