Udyoga Parva — Gandhārī’s Counsel to Duryodhana
सम्यग्वृत्तेष्वलुब्धेषु सततं धर्मचारिषु । स्वेषु बन्धुषु कः साधुश्नरेदेवमसाम्प्रतम्,“सदा धर्ममें ही तत्पर रहनेवाले लोभरहित सदाचारी अपने बन्धुओंके प्रति कौन साधु पुरुष ऐसा अयोग्य बर्ताव करेगा?
samyagvṛtteṣv alubdheṣu satataṁ dharmacāriṣu | sveṣu bandhuṣu kaḥ sādhuḥ naredevaṁ asāmpratam ||
സദ്വൃത്തരും ലാഭലോഭരഹിതരുമായും നിത്യധർമ്മാചരണത്തിൽ നിലകൊള്ളുന്ന സ്വന്തം ബന്ധുക്കളോടു—ഇത്തരമൊരു സമയത്ത് ഏതു സജ്ജനൻ ഇങ്ങനെ അനുചിതവും അയോഗ്യവും ആയ പെരുമാറ്റം കാണിക്കും?
