भीष्मद्रोणयोर्दुर्योधनं प्रति शान्त्युपदेशः | Bhīṣma and Droṇa’s Counsel to Duryodhana for Pacification
ज्वलितां त्वमिमां लक्ष्मी भारतीं सर्वराजसु । जीवतो धुृतराष्ट्रस्य दौरात्म्याद् भ्रंशयिष्यसि,“बेटा! यह भरतवंशकी राजलक्ष्मी समस्त राजाओंमें प्रकाशित हो रही है; किंतु मैं देखता हूँ कि तुम अपनी दुष्टताके कारण इसे धृतराष्ट्रके जीते-जी ही नष्ट कर दोगे
jvalitāṃ tvam imāṃ lakṣmīṃ bhāratīṃ sarvarājasu | jīvato dhṛtarāṣṭrasya daurātmyād bhraṃśayiṣyasi ||
മകനേ! ഭരതവംശത്തിന്റെ ഈ രാജലക്ഷ്മി എല്ലാ രാജാക്കന്മാരിലും ദീപ്തമായി ജ്വലിക്കുന്നു; എന്നാൽ നിന്റെ ദുഷ്ടത മൂലം ധൃതരാഷ്ട്രൻ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കെ തന്നേ നീ അതിനെ പതനത്തിലാക്കുമെന്നു ഞാൻ കാണുന്നു।
