नारदकथितं माधव्याः तपश्चर्या–ययातेः स्वर्गविचारः | Nārada on Mādhavī’s Asceticism and the Scrutiny of Yayāti in Heaven

अश्चानां काड्क्षितार्थानां पडिमानि शतानि वै | शतद्वयेन कन्येयं भवता प्रतिगृह्मताम्‌,आकर उन्होंने कहा--“गुरुदेव! आप जैसे चाहते थे, वैसे ही ये छः सौ घोड़े आपकी सेवामें प्रस्तुत हैं और शेष दो सौके बदले आप इस कन्याको ग्रहण करें

aśvānāṃ kāṅkṣitārthānāṃ ṣaḍimāni śatāni vai | śatadvayena kanyeyaṃ bhavatā pratigṛhyatām |

അവർ പറഞ്ഞു—“ഗുരുദേവാ, നിങ്ങൾ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചതുപോലെ ഈ ആറുനൂറ് കുതിരകൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ സേവയ്ക്കായി സമർപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. ശേഷിക്കുന്ന ഇരുനൂറിന് പകരം ഈ കന്യയെ സ്വീകരിക്കണമേ.”
