इस प्रकार श्रीमहाभारत उद्योगपर्वके अन्तर्गत भगवद्यानपर्वमें गालवचरित्रविषयक एक सौ सत्रहवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ ॥/ ११७ ॥। अपन क्रात बछ। >> 2 अष्टादशाधिकशततमोब<् ध्याय: उशीनरका ययातिकन्या माधवीके गर्भसे शिबि नामक पुत्र उत्पन्न करना
Nārada uvāca: tathaiva tāṃ śriyaṃ tyaktvā kanyā bhūtvā yaśasvinī | Mādhavī Gālavaṃ vipram abhyayāt satyasaṅgarā ||
നാരദൻ പറഞ്ഞു—അതുപോലെ യശസ്വിനിയായ മാധവി ആ രാജലക്ഷ്മി ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച്, വീണ്ടും കന്യയായി, സത്യപാലനത്തിൽ दृഢയായി ബ്രാഹ്മണൻ ഗാലവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പുറപ്പെട്ടു।
