ऑपनआक्ाा बछ। अर ग>र्योधिकशततमो< ध्याय: नागलोकके नागोंका वर्णन और मातलिका नागकुमार सुमुखके साथ अपनी कन्याको ब्याहनेका निश्चय नारद उवाच इयं भोगवती नाम पुरी वासुकिपालिता । यादृशी देवराजस्य पुरीवर्यामरावती
Nārada uvāca: iyaṃ Bhogavatī nāma purī Vāsuki-pālitā | yādṛśī deva-rājasya purī-varyā Amarāvatī ||
നാരദൻ പറഞ്ഞു—മാതലീ! ഇത് വാസുകി സംരക്ഷിച്ചു ഭരിക്കുന്ന ‘ഭോഗവതി’ എന്ന പുരിയാണ്. ദേവരാജൻ ഇന്ദ്രന്റെ ശ്രേഷ്ഠനഗരിയായ അമരാവതിയെപ്പോലെ തന്നെ ഇതും ഐശ്വര്യ-സമൃദ്ധികളാൽ സമ്പന്നമാണ്.
