शल्य उवाच एवमुक्ते मघवता देवा: सर्षिगणास्तदा । शरण्यं शरण देवं जम्मुर्विष्णुं महाबलम्,शल्य बोले--राजन्! इन्द्रके ऐसा कहनेपर ऋषियोंसहित सम्पूर्ण देवता सबके शरणदाता अत्यन्त बलशाली भगवान् विष्णुकी शरणमें गये

ശല്യന് പറഞ്ഞു—രാജാവേ! മഘവന് (ഇന്ദ്രന്) ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞതോടെ, ഋഷിഗണങ്ങളോടുകൂടിയ എല്ലാ ദേവന്മാരും, എല്ലാവർക്കും ശരണമായ മഹാബലനായ ഭഗവാന് വിഷ്ണുവിന്റെ ശരണത്തിലേക്ക് പോയി.
