संतिष्ठस्व महाबाहो मुहूर्तमपि भारत । त्वयि तिष्ठति कौरव्य यातनास्मान् न बाधते,“महाबाहु भरतनन्दन! हो सके तो दो घड़ी भी ठहर जाइये | कुरुनन्दन! आपके रहनेसे यहाँकी यातना हमें कष्ट नहीं दे रही है”
saṃtiṣṭhasva mahābāho muhūrtam api bhārata | tvayi tiṣṭhati kauravya yātanāsmān na bādhate ||
വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു— ഹേ മഹാബാഹു ഭാരതാ! ഒരു മുഹൂർത്തമെങ്കിലും നില്ക്കുക. ഹേ കൗരവ്യാ! നീ ഇവിടെ നില്ക്കുന്നിടത്തോളം ഈ സ്ഥലത്തിന്റെ യാതന ഞങ്ങളെ പീഡിപ്പിക്കുകയില്ല.
