Duryodhana Seen in Heaven
Triviṣṭapa
nāradenaitam uktaḥ tu kururājo yudhiṣṭhiraḥ | bhrātṝn papraccha medhāvī vākyam etad uvāca ha ||
The verse highlights a dharmic disposition: even after receiving a sage’s statement, a responsible person seeks clear knowledge about those for whom he bears moral and familial duty. Wisdom here is shown as careful inquiry joined with concern for others.
After Nārada has spoken, Yudhiṣṭhira responds by asking about his brothers’ whereabouts or condition, and then begins to speak—setting up the next lines of dialogue in the Svargarohana episode.
