वीरलोकगति): प्राप्ता युद्धे हुत्वा55त्मनस्तनुम् । यूयं सर्वे सुरसमा येन युद्धे समासिता:
Vaiśaṃpāyana uvāca — vīralokagatiṃ prāptā yuddhe hutvā ātmanas tanum | yūyaṃ sarve surasamā yena yuddhe samāsitāḥ |
വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—യുദ്ധത്തിൽ സ്വന്തം ദേഹത്തെ ഹോമമായി അർപ്പിച്ച് അവർ വീരലോകഗതി പ്രാപിച്ചു; ദേവസമമായ തേജസ്സുള്ള നിങ്ങളെല്ലാ സഹോദരന്മാരെയും നേരിട്ട് അവർ രണത്തിൽ അചഞ്ചലമായി നിന്നു. അതിനാൽ ക്ഷത്രിയധർമ്മപ്രകാരം യുദ്ധമരണത്തിലൂടെ അവർ ആ പദവി നേടി।
