इत्युक्तवचनामेतामपकर्षन्ति दु:खिताम् । उत्तरां मोघसंकल्पां मत्स्यराजकुलस्त्रिय:,इस तरहकी बातें कहकर दु:खमें डूबी हुई इस उत्तराको जिसका सारा संकल्प मिट्टीमें मिल गया है, मत्स्यराज विराटके कुलकी स्त्रियाँ खींचकर दूर ले जा रही हैं
ity uktavacanām etām apakarṣanti duḥkhitām | uttarāṁ moghasaṅkalpāṁ matsyarājakulastriyaḥ ||
ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞ ശേഷം, ദുഃഖത്തിൽ മുങ്ങി, എല്ലാ നിശ്ചയങ്ങളും വ്യർത്ഥമായ ഉത്തരയെ മത്സ്യരാജൻ വിരാടന്റെ കുലസ്ത്രീകൾ വലിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് അകറ്റിക്കൊണ്ടുപോയി.
