दुर्योधनबलान्मुक्ता वयमेव त्रयो रथा: । सर्वमन्यत् परिक्षीणं सैन्यं ते भरतर्षभ,“भरतश्रेष्ठ! दुर्योधनकी सेनासे केवल हम तीन रथी ही जीवित बचे हैं। आपकी अन्य सारी सेना नष्ट हो गयी”
duryodhanabalān muktā vayam eva trayo rathāḥ | sarvam anyat parikṣīṇaṃ sainyaṃ te bharatarṣabha ||
വൈശംപായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ ഭരതശ്രേഷ്ഠാ, ദുര്യോധനസേനയുടെ നാശത്തിൽ നിന്ന് രക്ഷപ്പെട്ട് ഞങ്ങൾ മൂന്നു രഥികൾ മാത്രമാണ് ജീവനോടെ ശേഷിക്കുന്നത്; നിന്റെ ശേഷിച്ച സൈന്യം മുഴുവനും പൂർണ്ണമായി ക്ഷയിച്ച് നശിച്ചു.
