परस्पर सुसूक्ष्मेषु शोकेष्वाश्वासयंस्तदा । ता: शोकविद्धदला राजन्नवैक्षन्त परस्परम्‌

Transliteration

vaiśampāyana uvāca | paraspara susūkṣmeṣu śokeṣv āśvāsayaṃs tadā | tāḥ śokaviddhadalā rājann avaikṣanta parasparam ||

Translation

വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—അപ്പോൾ അവർ അകത്തളത്തിൽ സൂക്ഷ്മമായി കത്തുന്ന ദുഃഖങ്ങൾക്കിടയിൽ പരസ്പരം ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കാൻ ശ്രമിച്ചു; എന്നാൽ ശോകം കുത്തിത്തുളച്ച ഹൃദയങ്ങളോടെ, രാജാവേ, അവർ തമ്മിൽ തമ്മിൽ നോക്കാനും കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല.
