अतीतदिदतसे वृत्तं प्रशंसन्ति न वा पुनः । गुप्तैशज्ारैरनुमतै: पृथिवीमनुसारयेत्,कलतक मेरा जैसा बर्ताव रहा है, उसकी लोग प्रशंसा करते हैं या नहीं? इस बातका पता लगानेके लिये अपने विश्वासपात्र गुप्तचरोंको पृथ्वीपर सब ओर घुमाते रहना चाहिये
atītad idatase vṛttaṃ praśaṃsanti na vā punaḥ | guptaiś cārair anumataiḥ pṛthivīm anusārayet ||
തന്റെ കഴിഞ്ഞ പെരുമാറ്റത്തെ ജനങ്ങൾ പ്രശംസിക്കുന്നുണ്ടോ ഇല്ലയോ—ഇത് അറിയേണ്ടതാണ്. അതിനാൽ വിശ്വസ്തരും അംഗീകൃതരുമായ രഹസ്യചാരന്മാരെ എല്ലായിടത്തും അയച്ച്, രാജ്യം മുഴുവൻ നിരന്തരം നിരീക്ഷിച്ച് സത്യം കണ്ടെത്തണം.
