Royal Consecration, the Fault of Kinglessness, and the Necessity of Enforcement
सर्वाश्रमपदेप्याहुर्गाहस्थ्यं दीप्तनिर्णयम् । पावन पुरुषव्याप्र यं धर्म पर्युपास्महे
sarvāśramapade’py āhur gārhasthyaṁ dīptanirṇayam | pāvanaṁ puruṣavyāghra yaṁ dharmaṁ paryupāsmahe, puruṣasiṁha |
ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—പുരുഷവ്യാഘ്രാ! ശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞരായ പണ്ഡിതർ പറയുന്നു: എല്ലാ ആശ്രമങ്ങളിലുമെല്ലാം ഗാർഹസ്ഥാശ്രമം തന്നെയാണ് ശ്രേഷ്ഠം—ഇത് ശാസ്ത്രത്തിന്റെ തെളിഞ്ഞ നിർണ്ണയം. നാം അനുഷ്ഠിക്കുന്ന ഗാർഹസ്ഥധർമ്മം പാവനകരവുമാണ്—ഇത് ശാസ്ത്രപ്രസിദ്ധമായ വിധി.
